Not a bad internet provider, was the only good option for our area. Unfortunately, even with replaced ethernet cables, updated dish hardware & adjustments, "shutting it off and turning it back on", and upgrading to the $69.95 package "Nifty 50" with 50 mbps download speeds - still not quite enough to meet our household demands. Every couple of nights here and there the service will drop completely, and whenever it rains there's just no internet period until it clears up. If it's the only reliable option other than Viacom or Hughes Net, it's worth the bit of aggrevation. If you have DSL options however, stick with that.
If I could leave less than a star if I could leave negative stars I would I’ve been a customer of this company since I moved up here 15 years ago out of necessity because there really aren’t any options for Internet where I live I’ve been a loyal customer and they’ve treated me like garbage pretty much every step of the way so when my son finally was able to come up with an alternative that seemed to work just as well I canceled my service. They told me I would be charged $49 to remove the equipment then I got a bill for $200 and then today without my permission they withdrew $168 from my bank account which I consider a theft because I did not authorize any payment whatsoever but they had my card number on file meanwhile I already paid for my last months service Upfront a couple of months ago – another charge that they never told me was just was going to be charged to me but I let it go. Their customer service is terrible they are rude and apparently now they are thieves .
They installed multiple unit thru out the campground we stay at and no one has had any issues at all. Fast and reliable very happy!!
I am very disappointed to have to adjust this review but I feel that people researching ISPs need to know what's under the hood. My prior statements are valid, descent speeds for the most part, every now and then they get super slow. Installers are great, and for the most part the customer service was helpful. That is until I called to cancel the service. I was relocating to a different state and wasn't able to carry my service with me (I actually called and asked). I was basically told "too bad" you have to pay an early termination fee or the remaining months on the contract (whichever is less). This was never disclosed when I called to setup service and I always ask about termination fees (especially with a new ISP) I was told "all we ask is that you give us a chance to make the connection right and if we can't you can cancel. I was also advised I would get a final bill via email (never received). In short, they are great, just don't try to leave them, it will cost you!!!
I have had this service for almost 2 years. It started off amazing and issues were fixed right off. Now I keep getting a different answer every time I contact them on why my service sucks. I am running the same amount of devices I have ran since day one and the service declines the longer I have it. And now its up to me to fork out the money for them to fix anything. I live in a very open area that should allow my family to use the wifi for our entertainment, work, schooling and such no problem. I dont understand how we could use the wifi however needed/wanted the first year but now it gets worst by the day. If there was any other option for where I live I would be choosing a different company. It breaks my heart that it has even gotten to this point. This time last year I was leaving a 5 star review and praising this company up to the highest honors.
