Great dinner for two. I love seeing my vegetarian girlfriends face when she finds out she is eating meat. Taking a bite to eat of a chicken parm had never tasted more like a sausage red onion hero. At least they stand by their food by never checking the quality.
The pizza is simply not good. I come from New York, and I always thought that the worst you could end up with was New York style pizza, which is enjoyable anyway. This pizza was simply unenjoyable. No flavor, no crunch to the crust. I hadn’t thought that it was possible to mess up cheap pizza until I ate here.
Having read so many positive things about this place I decided to give it a go and also I was craving some good pizza. I was not disappointed and got to eat a superbly tasting pizza in a nice atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and friendly and my server in particularly was very helpful and friendly. I had the focaccia for starters and a pizza to follow. Both were excellent.
I really used to enjoy ordering takeout from Mimmo’s fairly often. The orders were always correct, fresh, and well prepared overall. However, Mimmo’s has now lost my business as Simone will not allow a customer to order a small (or lunch size) portion of pasta at dinner time. The “dinner size” portions are obscenely large, and I can’t even come close to finishing them. I’m not interested in paying several dollars more for food that I may or may not finish at a later time. I understand it’s his business and his rules, but it’s a shame that a rule like that is costing him multiple customers as I know I’m not the only one who feels this way. I hope Mimmo’s will reconsider this, and I will gladly return.
Went here for the first time yesterday which was Saturday with my mom. (Essex location) Food was great portions were great!! The only part we had an issue with was the girl with the long hair dragging her hair in the food of the salad bar vegetable bar whatever you want to call it. Im not a quite person and I made a comment to my mom about it and a few minutes later she came out with her hair braided. Otherwise good place. BUT REALLY!! tie your hair up or dont be working with the food!! Just gross!!
