So im born & raised in Birmingham Alabama where there literally 3 bbq places on every block. I have been searching for good bhq in Vermont and have failed to find it!! The South is the king of bbq so I guess thats hard to replace! On to the meal which we drove a hr ea way & tipped $20 on a $90 takeout order. My wife & daughter had to wait 15m to be greeted w a restaurant that was 30% full. I tipped what I did because I'm a new England culinary graduate that has been in the industry for 20+ yrs, the past 10 as a server & bartender. The meal was a family meal for 4. 4 meets sides & cornbread. With all the meet we got, we got home & realized we were given any sauce, nor asked if we wanted any. I would assume with a all inclusive meal for 4, sauce would be included. Our next surprise was the pork was literally swimming in some type of vinnagerette...? I'm assuming it was a attempt at a carlolina style vinegar sauce (of which I have had plenty of) however this was a vinegarette!! And there was enough to toss 3 heads of lettuce in it no exaggeration! 2 pieces of brisket, 1 was good, tender but it was coated in tomato paste.. this was a utter waste of $110 & time. I for the life of me cannot understand how this place has the reviews it does. Being in this industry I rarely post any reviews, ever!! However this meal was so absolutely horrendous I have felt guilt over not sharing this. I prayed about it & here we are!! I will say maybe this is good bbq for new englanders that have never been to the south, However if your a southerner up here for any reason & are looking for good bbq.. this ain't the one!! Stay far away!! I was not able to give a half star which would be for the "cornbread cake"

Stumbled in here without seeing any reviews on Google just to grab a beer. Was pleasantly surprised by the smell of pork BBQ coming from the kitchen so had to stay for lunch. Wow, the Cubano sandwich was out of this world. I've had a lot of sandwiches living in Boston over the years and the pork on this was so juicy, tender, and aromatic. They also brought over 3 different homemade hot sauces that were all amazing. The peach habanero one was our favorite. Washed it all down with a fresh batch of Oktoberfest beer which the staff recommended to me. Was so good, I bought a growler to bring home. Combine that with the great ambience, music, and cool porch, definitely want to come back. I was also impressed with how many beers they brewed themselves and the selection of beers like Dunks, Porters, Stouts, Lagers, Kellerbier, Blonde Ales, in addition to the usual Pale Ales and IPAs

I eat here every year on my ritual vacation to VT. I get the same thing, the pork plate with greens...its a unique flavor for the bbq and i love it. The entire place has a wonderful vibe and energy and the consistency of the food is commendable. This is a must visit for anyone in the area

Fun place to stop while driving through town. Service was great and beer was good. Pre-covid this would’ve been a fun place to hang out and watch a game... we’ll get back there soon hopefully. Worth the stop if you are into craft beer
