This place was great. The Bench might just have the best burgers in the state. The beach burger had a nice cut of pork on it with some well picked vegetables. The bacon and blue cheese burger was fantastic. The chicken tender were nice and crispy. Check out all my reviews on YouTube Review Time With Tim

Good place to stop in Stowe after a long day on the slopes. Solid food, nothing spectacular. The wings were good, crispy, a little dry. The BBQ chicken sandwich was very good. The french fries steal the show. Crispy, good flavor, salted well. Drink menu is robust with a large selection from local breweries including local ciders. Be prepared to wait if you come in the evening, 30 minutes or more. Bar is in the back to grab a drink while you wait. Parking lot is big, but hard to get a spot. There is room around the side and outback. Overall it’s exactly what you think you would get, with decent prices for the area.

The wood fired pizzas were pretty good. The mushroom/truffle oil one was the best. The tomato/basil/mozzarella one was a bit bland. The waitress was friendly. Nice little patio. Overall, it was a pretty good dinner/experience. Not the best wood fired pizza I’ve had, but good nonetheless!

Stopped by on the way home from Burlington, VT. Before deciding on going here, I looked at the ratings and there was 4.7 stars from 1,100 ratings... And I think that rating was too low.
The atmosphere is rustic, the staff is great, and the food came out quick and piping hot.
Got the salt & vinegar fries to start, yum.
Entreés were moss glen pizza and the buffalo Mac & cheese. Both are worth writing home about. If you don't love buffalo, try a different meal, you cannot go wrong.
Keeping this spot in the back of my mind for next time we are in the area and want a great experience.

Excellent gastropub. I had the Bench Burger and aside from its impossible size, it was amazing. Perfectly cooked. It's just hard to deal with a burger when you can't even smash it down to fit it in your mouth. Still, it was an enjoyable struggle. The poutine was enormous and also delicious. My girlfriend had the fish and chips which was excellent. Beer selection, consistent with Vermont establishments, was very good.
