I had the roof replaced on my South Burlington investment property in early December of 2021 (luckily there was no snow!) and I must say I am all around 100% satisfied with my Vermont Construction Company experience. This is the first time I've ever had to hire a contractor so I have no basis for comparison but here are the facts: the roof looks fantastic, they left the landscape the way it was beforehand, and the final cost ($16,500 for 34 squares) wasn't much more than estimated and the extra charges (the necessary replacement of rotted plywood and bad chimney lead flashing that I confirmed with my own eyes) were defined in the estimate so I can't complain. Well done to Mateusz the roofing project manager, Guillermo the lead roofer and his three associate roofers, and the two non-stop clean up workers. I gathered estimates from several roofing contractors and VT Construction Co's wasn't the cheapest but it also wasn't the most expensive, but it was the most thorough and understandable, making the choice of selecting a roofing contractor easier than I thought it would be. They even gave me a 10% discount for my military service. The quality, value, team work, work ethic, communication, and professionalism were top notch. Just had Vermont Construction Company do my garage and porch roof. What a fabulous and professional experience. They went above and beyond what my wife and I expected. Started and finished in one day. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone that is looking for a professional and highly qualified team.
We had a moisture problem in the crawlspace under the addition to our home. We needed a contractor who could coordinate our repairs, painting, and carpeting, and time it all with the Northern Basements Systems crew who installed the proper moisture barrier. Vermont Construction did a great job of that, with high quality work, and on the schedule they laid out in our contract. There turned out to be an additional problem with a rotted sill plate, and they had to jack up the room and replace that. They moved mountains to get that done on time so that Northern Basement Systems could do their work as scheduled. We love the "new room", and we are grateful for all of their expertise.
Ah, the wind storm of 2022. Tree fell on my house putting a hole in my roof. After I had the tree removed, I called VCC to repair the roof. The guy came that, same, day to take a look! The roof was repaired shortly thereafter. I have to say, I would not hesitate to hire them again! Very happy.
Their project managers are skilled and knowledgeable, and will do whatever it takes to get the job done. Dave and Dana on the other hand... have absolutely no idea what they're doing. They have a nasty habit of underquoting jobs just so they can pull up on site to determine that they need an extra $50k-$150k to complete the project, behind schedule. If you hire these guys to do a commercial job, they won't pay their workers the prevailing wage. As for the professionalism, Dave will likely flirt with and woman he sees. He might also try to sleep with your daughter, go ahead and ask the local realtors.
